BOOKING A COMMISSION

Booking a portrait with me couldn't be easier.

Send me over some photos

The first step is to send me a few high-quality photos of your pet, preferably head and shoulder shots for the photos you'd like to consider using for the portrait. You can do this by emailing me at info@petportraitsbylisa.co.uk

They must be clear and of good quality, so please  check your pet is not blurred in the photo and ideally it needs to be taken in natural daylight. I need to be able to see enough detail so that I can clearly see their features, particularly the eyes and direction of the fur. It is also a good idea to take your photos at eye level.

You may have a photo of a beloved pet that has passed away. Obviously, in this instance we will work together to choose the best photo for your portrait to produce a memorable piece of artwork for you to cherish.

Below are some examples of photos that I would consider a high quality photo to draw from.

(All four photos were taken using a mobile phone!!)

Choosing your portrait size

Please refer to my Pricing & Sizing Options page. Please be aware that my portraits are provided without a mount or frame as I believe this is a personal choice to each client so please bear in mind when picking a size that you will eventually have a mount and frame making your artwork appear larger.

Timescale

All my portraits take me a minimum of 40 hours plus to complete. This means I need approx. 10 days to complete a portrait.

Ideally, I require at least a month's notice. My books can get filled up quickly so plenty of notice is the way forward! If however, you have a special occasion looming, I will endeavour to meet that deadline. If I agree a date with you, I always deliver!

Deposit

Once we have agreed on a photo of choice, I will require a £30 deposit from you. Payment can be made via bank transfer or cash if you are local to me.

Watching your portrait take shape

I’ll be in touch with you just before I start drawing your artwork, to let you know it’s in progress. You’ll be able to view work-in-progress images on my social media channels throughout the creation process, if, of course you agree to this. If your portrait is a gift, I’m more than happy to keep everything secret until you’ve gifted it. Alternatively, I can email you progress photos privately, so you can still enjoy seeing the creation process without ruining the surprise.

Your finished portrait

When your portrait is complete, I will email you a photographed proof so you can check you are happy. Should you wish me to make any alterations to the piece, I am happy to do this at no additional cost until you are completely satisfied. However, if the alterations are significantly different from the initial order there may be an additional cost. I will always make sure you are completely satisfied with your portrait before posting it out to you.

Final payment and delivery of your portrait

Once you are happy with your finished portrait, the remaining balance will be due. As soon as final payment has cleared, I will ship your artwork out to you.

All portraits now come beautifully presented in a high quality archival artwork box, perfect if your portrait is a gift for family or friends! Please note this excludes portraits that are 19 x 14" and over as I cannot source boxes big enough butcyour portrait will still be packaged and protected!

Postage & Packaging of your portrait within the UK will incur an extra £10 charge. Please ask for a price for a delivery outside the UK.

Your portrait will be securely packaged to a high standard to ensure its safety in transit. You'll be sent a tracking link so you can monitor the progress of your portrait.

You can of course opt to collect from me in person if you wish. I am based in Billericay, Essex.

Receiving your portrait

Once you have framed your portrait (either professionally or yourself) it would be lovely to see a photo of it framed.

Perhaps your pet could even pose next to it for a photo and join the below gallery of pooches with their portraits!!
